If you’re a Bucks fan and you fell asleep during this game, you didn’t miss anything
The Boston Celtics cruised to 109-86 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semis to even the series at 1-1, with Game 2 set for Saturday in Milwaukee; tip-off is set for 2:30 P.M.
The Celtics got big time games from the Jays; Jaylen Brown who dropped 30 points including 25 in the first half. Brown also went 6-10 from the three point line and an efficient 11-18 from the field. Jayson Tatum after going 6-18 with 21 points in Game 1, went off for 29 points on 10-20 from the field and 5-10 from three. Tatum also had eight assists in the game as he took on a facilitator role in the absence on Marcus Smart who missed Game 2 with a thigh contusion.
The real star of the night for Boston was Grant Williams: Williams scored 21 points, 5 rebounds, and a career high six threes. This is only the second time Williams has scored 20 or more points in a game, the first being in a game on March 21st against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Nothing went right for the Bucks in Game 2.
Outside of Giannis, and Pat Connaughton the offensive production was non-exisistent. Milwaukee shot 3-18 from three (16.7%) and yet shot 46 percent from the field. The simple fact is, that Boston had something to prove after their own poor performance in Game 1. Milwaukee came out flat and Boston took advantage.
Overall, the Bucks have to play better at home on Saturday, they have to get better contributions from Jrue Holiday who scored 19 points on 7-20 shooting and from Brook Lopez who scored 0 points in 25 minutes, Lopez was unplayable in Game 2 so he’s got to came out better in Game 3 and hopefully can feed off the home crowd’s energy.
