The stage is set for a brutal NBA Finals. We now know it will be the Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics who will meet in the NBA Finals. Now the Boston Celtics and the Golden State Warriors have never met in the NBA Finals before, so this will be unfamiliar territory for both teams. With both teams winning their respective NBA Conference finals series. Boston and Golden State both have been on a tear lately since the NBA playoffs started back in early April. With Golden State Warriors defeating the Denver Nuggets in five games 4-1 and then defeating the Memphis Grizzlies in their second-round services 4-2, and then most recently handing the Dallas Mavericks a game five loss sending the Mavericks home for the summer. Now on the other side we can’t forget about how dominant the Boston Celtics have been so far in these playoffs as well. As the Boston Celtics swept the Brooklyn Nets in the first round series 4-0, and they followed that up with a huge dominant game seven victory over the Bucks at home, and then most recently defeating the Miami Heat in seven games as well. How dominant will the Celtics be? Take it from me, the Celtics have not been to the NBA Finals since 2010, and they looked a little different back then and the coach was a lot different back then as well. As it was the big three of Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Rajon Rondo. That Celtics team was coached by Coach Doc Rivers, who coached the Celtics from 2004-2013 in that span that Celtics team had only one NBA Championship which was in 2008 when they defeated the LA Lakers in the NBA Finals in six games, can this Boston Celtic team get the job done this time around? Now on the other side you have dub nation the Golden State Warriors, who have not been back to the NBA FINALS since they lost 4-2 to the then champion Toronto Raptors in the NBA Finals. That Warriors team still looks the same in the coach is the same too, but the Warriors have added some new fresh faces in the mix. The last time the Warriors were victorious in the NBA Finals, they swept the Cavaliers and Lebron James 4-0 in the 2018 NBA Finals that year. Before then the Warriors had won back-to-back championships from 2015, 2017 and 2018 all defeating the same team three times in the Cleveland Cavaliers. We now know game one will take place in the Warriors new Basketball stadium Chase Center in Oakland. Wouldn’t it be nice for the warriors to hoist the trophy at their new home stadium this June. The Boston Celtics will be in search of their 18th overall championship while the Golden State will be in search of there the Warriors will be in search of their seventh championship in team history. The NBA Finals should be a brutal dog fight. I think this series could see a 7-game series go down to the wire. But at the end of the day, I believe with all the experience the warriors have it won’t be an easy series for either team but going back to experience I believe the warriors will prevail in victory.
