OH MY LORD
THAT IS ONE OF THE GREATEST CATCHES I HAVE EVER SEEN
Jonathan Davis is known for his defense, and on Wednesday afternoon he showed you why.
In the second inning, Rays star Randy Arozarena took a hanging breaking ball from starting pitcher Eric Lauer and drove it to center. Davis sprinted full speed, laid out with full extension and made the catch while slamming his head into the wall. Davis was able to remain in the game for the rest of the second, before being taken out with low back and rib cage discomfort. Davis was replaced in the lineup by Jace Petersen in the third with Tyrone Taylor moving over from right field to center and Petersen moving over to the right.
