My favorite trade:
Utah getting Jerami Grant and Killian Hayes seems like a steal for them considering what they’re giving up. Detroit receives two guards, one who is older and the other who is younger. I think Detroit could definitely use a veteran and younger guard which will help compliment Cade’s future in the city.
Makes most sense for both teams:
In a trade where the Jazz gets Kris Middleton and Jrue Holiday and where the Bucks get young flier Donovan Mitchell. This makes sense where Jazz gets two bonafide starters that will help attract other stars more than the dysfunctional unit they have now. Giannis gets his new star player beside him which will put a lot of pressure on him especially in the playoffs where struggles at the free throw line. The Jazz also get a young shooter in Grayson Allen. He may not be the nicest guy in the league but he’ll fit right in with the Utah fanbase. The Bucks also receive veterans in Mike Conley and Jordan Clarkson which will be a huge help for Milwaukee who is seeking their second championship during the Giannis era.
Lopsided trade:
The most lopsided trade out the 7 has to be the Will Barton for Bojan Bogdanovic and Jordan Clarkson . The Nuggets are getting two guards in Bogdanovic and Clarkson. The Nuggets definitely get the better end of the trade. I don’t think this would happen even though the Jazz are getting a draft pick in return.
Most likely to happen:
Swapping Mike Conley for Spencer Dinwiddie is a win, win for both teams. Dallas needs a veteran leader on their team as they’re young and are hungry looking for their first championship since Dirk was in town. Dinwiddie is shipped off to Utah where they will most likely enter a rebuild very soon. Spencer Dinwiddie is about the best they could receive when giving up the aging Conley.
Will never happen:
Utah getting two young guards from Chicago in Ball and White would never happen simply because of their injury history. No one is willing to take a chance on either because they haven’t proven they can stay healthy. It would be a great start to a rebuild if they can prove to be what they used to be viewed as. It doesn’t seem like Chicago needs any position of need unless there’s an upgrade in which Clarkson and O’Neale are not. They have Lavine right now and Derozan for the foreseeable future.
