Bucks Re-Sign Serge Ibaka to One-Year deal

Serge Ibaka has agreed to a one-year contract to return to the Milwaukee Bucks

Ibaka last season, was traded from the Los Angeles Clippers to the Bucks at the trade deadline and appeared in 19 games for the team. Ibaka averaged 7.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, while shooting 51 percent from the field.

Ibaka has made the NBA’s All-Defensive First Team three times (2012-14) but those days are long behind him, as he’s had reoccurring back problems while as a member of the Clippers.

Ibaka was brought in as insurance for Brook Lopez who was recovering from back surgery. after Lopez came back, Ibaka’s minutes dwindled and eventually found himself out of the rotation altogether.

The Bucks have signed five free agents since the free agency period started (Wesley Matthews, Bobby Portis, Joe Ingles, Jevon Carter. The Bucks currently have eight guys under contract with rookie MarJon Beauchamp expected to join that group soon.
