It is Anthony Rizzo’s 33rd Birthday today as the Parkland Native was born August 8, 1989. Happy Birthday Anthony. Buon compleanno Antonio!

We also learned that Matt Carpenter was taken out of the game after getting struck by a pitch on his back left foot. It is a possible season-ending fracture. With Carpenter due to miss a notable amount of time and placed on the IL, the Yankees called up Miquel Andujar to take over for him. He is very capable and will do a good job in Matt’s absence.

We wish Carpenter a speedy recovery and know that he wants to do everything in his power to be back playing for the NY Yankees!
